Draft: the name and address of whoever runs SingTuner are still missing.
These terms are the agreement between you and [operator name], who runs SingTuner. By creating an account or using SingTuner, you accept them. Please also read the privacy policy.

The service
SingTuner helps singers practise pitch. You sing exercises into your microphone and see, note by note, whether you’re in tune. You can write exercises, import scores in MusicXML, share exercises publicly and, with the Choir plan, organise a choir in a shared workspace.
SingTuner is a practice aid. Pitch detection can be wrong, especially with background noise, and it doesn’t replace a teacher.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old. Use a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account. One account per person.
Plans and payment
- The Free plan costs nothing. If we remove something it includes, we tell you in advance.
- The Choir plan is a subscription, paid in advance monthly or yearly through Stripe. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time under Account → Manage billing. The plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Partial periods are not refunded, except as described below or where the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again for a while. If it still fails, your account returns to the Free plan: workspaces you already created keep working, but you can’t create new ones.
- The price is shown before you pay. If it changes, we tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price, and you can cancel before then.
- Members of a choir’s workspace don’t need a paid plan.
- Right of withdrawal: if you’re a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days by writing to hello@singtuner.com. The Choir plan starts as soon as you subscribe, so we refund your payment minus the part for the days you already had it.
Your content
- You keep the rights to the exercises, scores and other content you add. You allow us to store, process and show it as needed to run SingTuner, and only to the people you share it with.
- When you make an exercise public, anyone can view and practise it, and logged-in users can rate it. You can make it private again or delete it at any time.
- Only upload what you’re allowed to use. Many published scores are protected by copyright: upload your own arrangements, works in the public domain, or scores you have permission to use. If you believe something on SingTuner infringes your rights, write to hello@singtuner.com and we’ll look into it promptly.
- Content added to a workspace is shared material of that workspace. It stays when a member leaves or deletes their account, shown as written by “Former member”.
Fair use
Don’t use SingTuner to break the law or other people’s rights, to publish offensive, hateful or misleading content, or to send unwanted invitations. Don’t try to get around limits or security, access other people’s accounts, disrupt the service, or collect data from it automatically.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. Where reasonable, we warn you first and explain why.
Availability and changes
We work to keep SingTuner available and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may improve and change features. If we ever close SingTuner, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before and refund prepaid time you can no longer use.
Liability
We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and as consumer protection law requires. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by circumstances outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using SingTuner and delete your account at any time on the Account page. We may end the agreement if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. We tell account holders about important changes at least 30 days before they apply; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account before then.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can take a dispute to the courts there. Please write to us first at hello@singtuner.com: most problems are quicker to solve directly.
